Dr. Donald Gerken received his chiropractic degree from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1994 and started working in family wellness care in San Diego shortly thereafter. He has taken additional courses in nutrition, pregnancy, pediatrics, Autism and craniosacral therapy. He became a Defeat Autism Now (DAN) doctor in 2007. He has received the Diplomate in Chiropractic Pediatrics for successful completion of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association’s three hundred and sixty hour diplomate program in 2008. The main focus
of his practice is helping women to have a safe
and easy labor and delivery, educating parents and their children about their bodies and their natural ability to heal. One of his current projects is
working to integrate the structural component of a child’s nervous system with the biomedical approach currently used to treat autism.
