Dr. Kwon is a 2011 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Life University, where she completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree within the Research Track with Pi Tau Delta honors. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science and Master of Science in Biotechnology degrees from Johns Hopkins University, and she has also studied Health Policy at the Harvard School of Public Health.
Her extensive science and research background includes work at the former National Cancer Institute's American Health Foundation and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine - Neurology Institute for Cell Engineering. During her time at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Kwon was involved in a project pertaining to improved methods of imaging and analysis prior to total knee replacement surgery. This project was conducted in conjunction with the Engineering Research Center for Computer Integrated Surgical Systems and Technology. Dr. Kwon also helped conduct a public health study on adolescent risk behavior at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Harriet Lane Adolescent Clinic.
Dr. Kwon is presently the Executive Director of the Foundation for Vertebral Subluxation and a faculty member at Life University, where she serves on the Institutional Review Board, the Research Track Advisory Board, and as Chair of the Faculty Development Committee. Dr. Kwon's current research interests are in subluxation-based chiropractic research studies pertaining to health outcomes of pregnant women and children, as well as pedagogy and educational methods. She has presented at Sherman College of Chiropractic's International Research and Philosophy Symposium, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association Freedom for Family Wellness Summit, the League of Chiropractic Women Summit, and the Georgia Research on Learning and Teaching Summit.
